Miss Burns graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a Bachelor of Music degree, and Northern Illinois University with a Master of Music Degree.  She has taught all levels of music, including middle school and high school band, middle school and high school choir, private flute lessons, and general music K-6.

Miss Burns is originally from Illinois, near Chicago.  She moved to Texas in 2013 and loves it here (and does not miss the -90 degree windchills)!

 

She likes to play the flute, read, and crochet.  She is also an animal lover, and has had dogs, birds, and cats. Her favorite color is purple! Miss Burns is very excited about teaching music at Western Hills Elementary!!
